Sonia E. Hanson is an associate attorney of White, Nisar & Hilferty, LLP. Sonia completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where she received a degree in Legal Studies and Religious Studies. Sonia went on to attend the University of Minnesota Law School, and graduated in 2015.
During her time in law school, Sonia was active in a number of organizations, including the Black Law Students Association and the Women's Law Student Association. Sonia was also a staff writer and editor for the Journal of Law and Inequality, a nationally-ranked legal publication. Additionally, Sonia participated in the University of Minnesota's Business Law Clinic, and worked closely with local entrepreneurs in structuring their business entities and assisting them in various other matters.
Sonia passed the July 2015 New York State Bar Exam, and was admitted to practice in June of 2016. Following admission to the New York Bar, Sonia performed general practice and litigation, focusing on landlord and tenant law, contractual matters, and employment disputes. As an associate of White, Nisar & Hilferty, LLP., Sonia focuses on matters of employment discrimination and commercial litigation matters.
