Nina Alexandra Ovrutsky is an employment litigation associate of White, Nisar & Hilferty, LLP. Nina received her education at Pace University and Hofstra University School of Law – an institution now known as Maurice A. Deane School of Law.
During her time at law school, Nina focused her studies on areas that involved both transactional law and litigation. Nina has also taken multiple employment and corporate law classes. As part of several extra-curricular activities, Nina was a student ambassador and article editor with the school's reputed Journal of International Business and Law, and a member of the Hofstra Trial Advocacy Association. Nina also spent time as a research assistant for a professor in law school and helped perform research necessary for publication of a legal textbook.
In her second year of law school, Nina began working for Mr. Mahir Nisar as a law clerk, which developed into her position as an associate of White, Nisar & Hilferty, LLP. today. While clerking for Mr. Nisar, Nina also spent time interning for the Nassau County Attorney’s office in the litigation bureau. Nina has proficient legal skills and she is fluent in both English and Russian. Through her law school career and various internships, Nina has gained ample knowledge in the areas of employment and commercial law.
Since being admitted to the New York State Bar, Nina has dedicated her time practicing employment law, including but not limited to, employment discrimination and unpaid wages and overtime cases. Nina has represented both Plaintiffs and Defendants, and is familiar with alternative dispute resolutions methods such as negotiation, mediation and arbitration.
Nina is admitted to practice law throughout the State of New York in both the State and Federal courts.
