Christopher Van De Water pursued a dual degree of Economics and Business
Management at Cornell University, where he was on the Dean’s List.
He then went on to study Labor Law at Hofstra University School of Law
where he served as an Editor on the prestigious Labor Law Journal. Early
on in his career, Christopher proudly served the public interest as an
Assistant Attorney General within the New York State Office of the Attorney
General during Andrew Cuomo’s tenure, as well as an Assistant Corporation
Counsel in New York City’s Special Federal Litigation unit. He also
worked for two AmLaw rated firms where he first earned his chops as a
successful trial litigator. He is admitted to practice law in all the
State Courts in New York, as well as in the U.S. District Court for both
the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Christopher proactively and aggressively represents all manner of employees and employers in all areas of employment law, as well as corporate clients in business and commercial disputes. He has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict in both state and federal courts. In addition to his comfortable familiarity in any courtroom setting, Christopher is equally adept at successfully prosecuting, defending and ultimately reaching successful case resolution through arbitrations, mediations and hearings.
Christopher’s successful legal exploits have been featured in newspapers, legal journals and other media sources including the Associated Press, New York Post, New York Daily News, Law 360 and the New York Law Journal.
During his free time, Christopher enjoys spending time with his two amazing children, as well as fishing the Long Island coastal waters.
